the expert in action
Shortly after we bought the vehicle, we had found moisture on board and asked the owner to share in the cost of repair. He however had refused and so we had to forward the case to our lawyer, one day before we went off to Greece. For a half year now, the process is delayed by the former owner, intentionally. He has even turned down a settlement proposal from the court.

So then, things took their course in the way that today, an expert, appointed by the court, is to inspect the vehicle. He goes into every nook and even disassembles certain parts. Now we learn the damage to the full extent. The expert tell us that we are lucky that the owner rejected any settlement. So now our lawyer is going to apply to the court for the re-encoding of the sales contract, as soon as the expertise is written.

For weeks we have been annoyed by the delaying tactics of the previous owner. We have long wanted to be in France. Instead, we must make a difficult decision: Finally we will no longer continue with this vehicle, but leave it in a garage until the court has decided for the previous owner to take the vehicle back into his possession.

Since this afternoon, we search the Internet for an appropriate alternative vehicle. We do no longer wish for an off-road vehicle anymore. We have already been likely to find another motorhome to become the proud owners of another one. Then, finally, we hope that stress and anger will fall from us and to continue our tour to France.
