midday rest in Pachia
We really love our time on Crete island. There hardly are any motorhomes around. It seems as if we could park our motorhome anywhere. Our route goes further eastbound today. We want to arrive the town of Sitía. But we take it slowly and have a rest short of Pachia, right at the beach. We could stay here, too, but the beach is rather stony.

amazing view of the Mediterranean Sea
The road winds through the mountains, but the condition is very good. From up here we enjoy the permanent view of the sea, and we stop time and again for a photograph.

the road passes through a sea of flowers
This is the perfect season for all the flowers on the island. We feel like paradise. And what a scent, so spicy. Short of Sitía there are 2 junctions: One to the harbor, the other into town. We bend off to the harbor. But then we cannot parky anywhere inside the harbor. The road goes on to town, gets really narrow. And then we are glad to branch off to the beach promenade a bit out of town. At the end of town we find a large carpark right at the beach where we can settle.
